Phenyl isocyanate (PhNCO) is an organic compound.  It consists of a phenyl ring attached to the isocyanate functional group.  PhNCO is a colorless liquid which easily reacts with water.  Phenyl isocyanate has a strong odor and tearing vapors.  As with other isocyanates, it reacts with amines to give ureas, and alcohols to form carbamates.
