Kowa American Corporation is pleased to welcome Biren Oza as Technical Director of the company’s Applications Laboratory in Akron, Ohio.

Biren brings more than 30 years of experience in the coatings and inks industry, with deep expertise in energy-curable technologies, formulation development, and application support. Throughout his career, he has been widely recognized for his technical depth, innovative approach, and strong partnerships with customers across the coatings value chain.

In his new role, Biren will lead technical activities at Kowa American’s Applications Laboratory and work closely with customers to develop advanced formulations and application solutions that support evolving industry needs. His leadership will further strengthen Kowa’s ability to provide technical insight and collaborative development for customers across multiple markets.

Kowa American’s Applications Laboratory focuses on the development of customized solutions for industries such as paints and coatings, adhesives and sealants, inks, and emerging technologies including 3D printing. The facility supports polymer synthesis, UV and energy-curable systems, and formulation development while leveraging a range of analytical testing capabilities to evaluate performance and optimize material design.

By combining advanced laboratory capabilities with Kowa’s global specialty chemical network, the Applications Laboratory serves as a hub for technical collaboration and next-generation material development.
