Viscopearl D-3, D-5, D-10

Cellulose beads made from wood-derived pulp

Viscopearl is spherical cellulose made from wood pulp. The particle size ranges from 3µm to 4mm. Biodegradable in soil and seawater. 4mm type Viscopearl degrades completely after 96 days in soil.
Other properties: heat & chemical resistance, great hydrophilicity and anti-static property.

Application

  •  Viscopearl can be used as a carrier for aromatic agents or functional chemicals, raw material for cosmetics, or abrasive. It can also be used as an additive for resin and rubber by using features of cellulose such as water absorbency. In addition, the small particle size products (D-10, D-5, and D-3) have a light diffusion effect, enabling them to be used as ink matting agents and light diffusing agents.

Embedding technology(Example of Applications)

  • Viscopearl particle sizes of 2mm and 4mm have a porous structure and the pores can carry functional chemicals such as aromatic agents and antibacterial agents. These chemical agents can be stabilized in the pores and their release rate can be controlled by an embedding processing that mixes these chemicals with a specialized resin that is then embedded into the Viscopearl for controlled release.
